ANGELUS: A History of Innovation
Angelus Sanitary Can Machine Company was founded in Los Angeles, California in 1910 by inventor Henry L. Guenther, Guenther designed and patented machinery for producing double seams on cans.
In 2007, Pneumatic Scale Corporation acquired Angelus, becoming Pneumatic Scale Angelus, a proud member of the Barry-Wehmiller family, of companies. Since then, PSA has become a major global supplier of can closing and seaming machines and has recently joined forces with Synerlink to become BW Filling & Closing.
We continue to be a recognized leader in the design, production and maintenance of high-speed equipment, and our machines are used across a broad range of industries around the globe.
Innovation may have started with the precise, repeatable double seam found in every ANGELUS Legacy machine, but it doesn't end there.
