The next step in a customer’s quest for even greater production speed is the Mateer 4800. In addition to a conveyor, the 4800 adds a second filling head, providing filling of 50-55 CPM, which can be increased depending on the product and volume being filled.
This dual-head unit handles the same broad range of free-flowing powders and granules and non-free-flow powders, creams, pastes, and slurries for the food, pharmaceutical, home/personal care and chemical markets. The 4800 combines easy operation and the meticulous accuracy of equipment that’s engineered to achieve your specific project goals. It will be precise to within +/- 1.5%, which can be engineered to greater accuracy with product testing. Mateer dry fillers are engineered for an expected life of 25 years, and we proudly still supply parts and service for active filling machines installed more than 60 years ago.

- Runs at speeds up to 1000 counts/revolution, filling up to 50-55 Containers Per Minute (CPM)
- The 4800 can self-diagnose problems throughout the production line via its PLC system. Pinpointing problems as they arise increases your production uptime.
- Lifts for packing and bottom-up work in conjunction. The container lift prevents blow up over the sides to minimize dust in filling. Bottom-up filling eliminates spillage and voids, especially in creams or pastes such as peanut butter or spackle.
- The Servo motor provides more torque, greater efficiency and reliability
- The Servo motor is a low maintenance workhorse, simplifying maintenance and reducing downtime
- Quick disconnect/self-aligning hopper keeps the auger, funnel and hopper in proper alignment for accurate filling
- The 4800 has tool-free, easy adjusting guide rails for enhanced product control. These feed round or non-round plastic, metal, glass or composite cardboard containers. Even when changing sizes, every size is held securely and changeovers are faster.
- This is a continuously running automatic filler, no longer requiring an operator, just someone to feed containers into the machine
- Industry-standard PLC and HMI controls, enabling operators to easily input, change and monitor filling parameters. This maximizes speed, efficiency and keeps downtime to a minimum. Programming is included in the installation of any Mateer filling machine.
- Tool-free product changeover can be done in as little as 10 minutes,* minimizing equipment down-time.
- Auger height adjustment is outside of the product area and can be accomplished in seconds without disrupting production. This separation prevents workers from placing their hands inside the hopper, reducing the possibility of product contamination and increasing operator safety.
- Product contact parts are built from 304 or 316 stainless steel to stand up to high temperatures, alkalis, acids, salt and for easy cleaning
- BW Filling & Closing strictly adheres to Food Grade Certification General Accepted Practices, using only food-grade stainless steel in our equipment designs. Every weld is polished smooth, eliminating crevices or burrs on which bacteria can grow. Mateer fillers can be upgraded to comply with 3-A Sanitary Standards certification, which affirms the integrity of hygienic processing equipment and systems.

- Come with a comprehensive manual that includes everything needed to keep your Mateer running smoothly.
